How to Make it in New York on $15 a Day is a comedy about the wonderful world of unemployment in New York City.

Every weekday morning, millions of New Yorkers drag themselves out of bed, pour coffee down their throats, and begin their nightmare morning commute to a job they don't even like. But not every New Yorker. After years of slave labor at a soul sucking 9 to 5, Kenny (Kevin Miller) and Chris (Duane Allen) are called into the boss's office for some bad news - they're going to be laid off. Unlike Chris, who nervously answers any "help wanted" sign he can find, Kenny studies the ins and outs of the NYC Department of Labor and learns just how easy it is to get a check every week for doing absolutely nothing!

Once he starts making the system work for him for a change, Kenny sees his joblessness as a blessing and begins a memorable summer living off of his unemployment checks in the most exciting city in the world. The only problem is that the checks are barely enough to live on. But with the help of an ex-construction worker on disability (Geoff Kirsch), Kenny scours the city in search of inexpensive activities to pass the time, actually enjoying his life for the first time in a while, even though Chris complains that he's not "earning" his income.

Before too long Kenny realizes that, even with a strict budget, there is so much you can afford to do in New York, your days can be just as hard to schedule when you DON'T have a job! But after having all this fun and freedom on the government's dime, will Kenny ever be able to return to the working world?
